HELP FOR HAITI
On February 11th, White Cross worked on items to send over to Haiti. Boxes filled with soap, pencil sharpeners, etc., blankets as ground cover for the homeless to sleep on (they have been laying on the hard ground), tie blankets and several other items. We were unable to complete the projects and have set aside a special White Cross for February 25th to finish. We hope that you can make it out for a great day of serving others.

Why is prayer so important? In my own life I have seen countless times where prayer has changed me. I have seen where prayer has changed others. Others I have never met and others that I know very well and love. We pray because we are lonely, scared, in pain, to intercede for those who don't know Christ. There are many reasons and yet, so many times we choose not to pray.

In reading the book "Prayer" by Philip Yancey, I am reminded of Susannah Wesley, a busy mother who had no time and no privacy. She would sit in her rocking chair with an apron over her head (her form of privacy) to pray for her husband and children. Why not take a few moments out of your day, throw an apron over your head and talk to God. Are we really that busy that we don't have time for the one who created us and who loves us more than anyone else on this earth does or can? He truly wants you to come into His presence.

As I have been seeking to know God's heart more, He has been leading me on a beautiful journey. Through a lifetime of self-condemnation, doubt, low self-esteem and many other Satan-influenced attacks on my heart, God has shown me that I am beautiful. Thanks to a new-found friendship in another beautiful woman, I have learned that there is more to me than I have let myself believe all of these years. This dear friend took the time to jot down a few of the areas where God has and is showing His love through me. What a wonderful gift to receive from her.
I want to encourage you to take the time to share love and beauty with another. What good it does to a dying heart to know that God delights in each and every one of us. As mentioned in the book, "Captivating", 'beauty flows from a heart at rest.'
-A woman of true beauty is a woman who in the depths of her soul is at rest, trusting God because she has come to know him to be worthy of her trust. She exudes a sense of calm, a sense of rest, and invites those around her to rest as well.
Zephaniah 3:17-"The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing."---S.B.

If we are listening, a Sacred Romance calls to us through our heart every moment of our lives. It whispers to us on the wind, invites us through the laughter of good friends, reaches out to us through the touch of someone we love. We've heard it in our favorite music, sensed it at the birth of our first child, been drawn to it while watching the shimmer of a sunset on the ocean. The Romance is even present in times of great personal suffering: the illness of a child, the loss of a marriage, the death of a friend. Something calls to us through experiences like these and rouses an inconsolable longing deep within our heart, wakening in us a yearning for intimacy, beauty, and adventure.

This longing is the most powerful part of any human personality. It fuels our search for meaning, for wholeness, for a sense of being truly alive. However we may describe this deep desire, it is the most important thing about us, our heart of hearts, the passion of our life. And the voice that calls to us in this place is none other than the voice of GOD. -The Sacred Romance

March 6th--Memorial Homes residents enjoy their March birthdays by playing a few rounds of Bingo and taking in some cupcakes and ice cream.

On March 6th, a group of women from Trinity got together to decorate cupcakes for the Holdrege Memorial Homes March birthdays. We enjoyed lunch together and a great time of fellowship.
